
About the Role
he Senior Environmental Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's adherence to Federal, State, and Local environmental regulations concerning air quality, water management, and waste materials. This position requires a proactive approach to environmental compliance, including monitoring, analyzing, and managing environmental programs to minimize regulatory risks and enhance sustainability efforts.
Key responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting environmental compliance data, overseeing the site's waste management program, and ensuring proper handling, disposal, and documentation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials. The specialist is also responsible for compiling and analyzing emission event data, preparing regulatory reports, and submitting required documentation to the appropriate agencies.
In addition, the role involves conducting audits and inspections to identify potential non-compliance issues, investigating root causes, and developing corrective and preventive action plans to address deficiencies. The Senior Environmental Specialist collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, optimize environmental performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Ten (10) years or more of related experience and/or training preferred.T with internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
